The Gift of Gospel

'And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. '

Revelation 14:6-7

Our Mission Is Simple

Our mission at project Gema is bringing children and families closer to Jesus Christ. We plan to reach children ages 7-10 who are economically disadvantaged and whose reading level was adversely affected by interrupted learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

By purchasing and distributing illustrated bibles to this target group, we will teach children to love to read and to love Jesus at the same time.

Gema's Story

Gemita the Little Evangelist!

Gema Hernández Vazquez shown brightly on this planet and in the lives of everyone that knew her for 7 years and Months. Gema was scheduled to start kindergarten in 2020 but due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, she was unable to start in a traditional environment and lost the most effective reading lessons from kindergarten and First Grades.

In 2021, while visiting Gema and her family at their home in Chiap de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico, her Aunt Yaritza gave her a children’s bible to inspire Gema to learn to read. They read the Bible together and Gema promised her aunt that she would learn to read the Bible so that they read the Bible together when she came back for vacation the following year. Gema read the Bible, and shared her love and inspired everyone around here. Gema died in April 2022 from a mysterious virus which caused her liver to shut down. While she never got to read the bible again with her “Tia Yari”, in her memory, children all over the world will read the Bible with their families and learn to love Jesus.

Gema shared her passion for Jesus with her family . She asked her dad many times to take the family to church. She told her mom that she wants to make a lot of money so that she could build a home for all of the orphans in the world.

If Gema saw someone without shoes, she would ask her mom for money to buy shoes for the person. She asks her mom if she could go and visit the neighbor who had just recently lost here husband. Gema told her neighbor not yo be sad, that Jesus is coming soon and she can be with her husband do ever. We learned so many of these things At Gema’s wake while sharing stories about her. Gema was always especially loving and energetic, but her love for Jesus and sharing That love made her truly special.

Gema loved reading her Bible so much she drew a heart on each page. The heart Gema drew is part of the foundation logo, but Gema’s heart is what inspires us to be better and share God’s word in her honor.
